The most beautiful beaches of Halkidiki / Best Beaches
The holiday region of Halkidiki is one of the most popular and attractive holiday destinations on the Greek mainland. The extensive peninsula enchants with turquoise water and dreamlike sandy beaches surrounded by unique nature.
The paradisiacal archipelago in the north of the Aegean Sea offers you the finest beach holidays. If you travel by plane, your destination airport is Thessaloniki. For this reason, the beaches of Halkidiki are also called the beaches of Thessaloniki. From here you continue to the Chalkidiki Peninsula. This consists of three finger-like promontories – 1st finger – west: Kassandra 2nd finger – middle: Sithonia and 3rd finger – east: Athos. Did you know that Halkidiki is also known as Poseidon’s trident, based on ancient Greek mythology?
