Samsung introduces robust Galaxy Book2 Business

The 14-inch notebook has been tested according to MIL-STD-810G and promises a battery life of up to 21 hours

Samsung announces the Galaxy Book2 Business. The notebook developed for professional purposes relies on a 14-inch IPS/PLS panel with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and is said to be very robust, so that you can use it even under “adverse environmental conditions” without any problems. This is proven by a MIL-STD-810G certification. According to the manufacturer, the device withstood moisture and dust as well as impacts and high temperatures in test series.

An Alder Lake processor from Intel is at work under the hood – either a Core i5-1240P (with or without vPro) or a Core i7-1260P – with 8 to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and an Iris Xe GPU can fall back on. Windows 11 Pro is preinstalled on a 256 or 512 GB NVMe SSD. Other features of the notebook include two internal 2-watt speakers (with Dolby Atmos support), a dual-array microphone, a fingerprint sensor and a full HD webcam with a shutter. As a hardware solution, Samsung Knox provides additional security against cybercriminals.

On the interface side, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI 2.0, RJ-45, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2, USB-C, WLAN 802.11ax and a combo connection with a microphone input and headphone output can be used. A microSD card reader is also available. The 51 Wh battery promises a battery life of up to 21 hours per charge, which should therefore get you through the workday without any problems. The energy storage device is charged using the supplied 65-watt USB-C quick charger, which can also be used for compatible Samsung mobile devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Business, weighing 1.5 kg, is expected to be released on May 16, 2022 in “Dark Gray” and will cost 1,299 euros (Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD), 1,599 euros (Core i5 with vPro, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) or 1,699 euros (Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD).
