1. Prasonisi Beach
We start in the very south of Rhodes on the peninsula of Prasonisi and the beach of the same name – or actually the beaches of the same name, because strictly speaking Prasonisi beach is twin beaches. Prasonisi is connected to the main island of Rhodes by a sandbank that divides the sea into two sides: while the eastern part is largely sheltered from the wind and therefore offers calm waters that are also perfect for bathing holidays with the little ones, the western side is one A real paradise for surfers: Here there are moderate to strong waves almost every day and therefore ideal conditions for kite and windsurfing. By the way, don’t worry if you’ve never stood on a board before: there are also surf schools in Prasonisi, as well as numerous cafés, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the beach.

Best travel time for the Rhodes
So you can not only pursue various water sports there, but also let off steam with fun activities on land and even bungee jumping. In the evening, the beach bars, restaurants and nightclubs fill up and you can party until the wee hours. Despite all the excitement, Faliraki is also suitable as a family holiday resort – mainly thanks to the gently sloping water and the good infrastructure. The only point you should pay attention to: the beach is partly quite pebbly, so better bring bathing shoes!
4. Tsambika Beach
An absolute dream beach among the beaches of Rhodes is the next stretch of coast in our list: the beach of Tsambika. The sand here is golden yellow and fine-grained, making it perfect for sunbathing on the soft shore while the water just gently deepens. The sea warms up to pleasant temperatures in the preseason, which is still spared by the large tourist crowds, and is also perfect for a holiday with the whole family. In terms of infrastructure, Tsambika also trumps: water sports providers, showers and toilets, parasols that can be rented for a fee, and plenty of restaurants and cafes right on the coast, as well as an easy-to-reach car park for the journey. The next beach on our list of the top bathing resorts on Rhodes is actually not just a beach, but a whole collection of beaches around the town of Lindos, which is at least as well worth seeing: from the fine sandy city beach in several sections to the more remote bay of St. Paul direct view of the Acropolis to the beach in Vlycha Bay, which trades the developed infrastructure for relative tranquility even in the high season. And then of course there would be the advantage of Lindos itself, because the city also has some impressive sights to offer and lures with sightseeing adventures between relaxed visits to the sea.
6. Anthony Quinn Bay / The best Rhodes beaches
Continue to a beach – or rather, a bay – that might sound familiar to some of you movie buffs: Anthony Quinn Bay. The place gets its name from the fact that the film The Guns of Navarone – obviously starring Anthony Quinn – was filmed there. The water here is gently sloping and very clear, making it perfect for snorkeling. Since this is a pebbly beach with some sharp stones, bathing shoes should definitely be brought along. A small tavern above the bay, from which you also have a beautiful view over the waves, takes care of your physical well-being.
7. Fourni Beach
From the east coast we now go to the west coast of Rhodes, namely to the beach of Fourni. Nestled between rocks and cliffs, this pretty piece of land boasts golden sand that only occasionally turns pebbly, turquoise waters and, thanks to its split into several bays, relative tranquility even during the busier summer months. On the cliff or steep coast you can take walks with a unique view before or after swimming, or you stay until the evening and watch the sunset over the sea from here – after all, the beach faces west. Also nearby is the very interesting Castle of Monolithos, which you can access directly from the road that also serves the beach.
8. Agathi Beach
