Power pack: Aston Martin’s DBX707 comes with over 700 hp
Aston Martin pushes the DBX to the extreme. With a V8 engine tuned to 707 hp, the off-roader becomes one of the most powerful SUVs on the road. This of course has its price.
Aston Martin turns the DBX into a super sports car. The 520 kW/707 hp top model of the all-terrain vehicle is scheduled to start as DBX707 in these weeks. According to the manufacturer, “the most powerful luxury SUV in the world” is on the bill with at least 235,500 euros.
But in addition to the more powerful engine, there is also a striking design with larger spoilers and rocker panels for optimized aerodynamics. In addition, many lightweight components and special sports seats expand the equipment.
That’s how fast the SUV accelerates
The DBX draws around 25 percent more power from the same basic engine – the 4.0-liter turbo V8 from cooperation partner Mercedes-AMG. The engine sits behind a visibly larger grille and now uses a carbon cardan shaft for power distribution. It also increases in torque and now reaches 900 Nm.
The driving performance is correspondingly impressive: According to the manufacturer, the DBX707 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a maximum of 310 km/h. Consumption increases and is now 14.2 liters (CO2 emissions: 329 g/km.)
